Welcome to Clinton Center Baptist Church

Clinton Center Baptist Church welcomes all seekers of the Lord. Whether you have been a Christian your entire life, you have recently given your life the Christ, or do not know the Lord but are seeking the Truth, all are welcome in God’s house. It is our mission to love people and help lead them to a life with Christ as its focus. There is only one way to salvation and the church exists to help those seeking God find the only path through edification, teaching, and building relationships. The church is a light in the darkness.

Clinton Center Baptist offers a traditional worship service with hymns sung from a humble and honest heart. Though the method of worship can change, it is through our love of God, His Son, and the church body that we offer our praise. The Turh is preached from the inerrant Word of God free from social influence, Christ-centered for the building of believers, making disciples, and evangelizing to the lost.

It is a privilge and duty of the church to share and witness the power of God through Jesus Christ, through faith alone, and through His Word alone. If you desire a change in life, a life of purpose and true freedom through grace, please visit or contact Clinton Center Baptist.

Directions to Salvation

Everyone is a sinner. No one is “good” or “good enough”. Every human is a fallen sinner. Romans 3.23, “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…

Sin has a punishment. The punishment for sin is death. Because all mankind has sinned, they will physically die. Because all mankind ignores and disobeys God, they will suffer eternal separation from God in Hell – an eternal, living death. Romans 6.23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sin must be punished. God is holy and just and cannot simply ignore our sin. Because we sin, we deserve death by our own choice. However, God created us in love. Because God loves us and does not desire our death and separation from Him, God has sent Himself, as Jesus Christ, to take the punishment of sin for us. So great is God’s love for us that He died for us, in our place, so that we can have eternal life. Though we still die physically, Jesus has taken our punishment of eternal separation so we can live eternally with God. Romans 5.8, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Just because Jesus died for mankind does not mean everyone is saved. We have to choose to repent of our sin and follow the example of Jesus. We must make the choice to call on the name of Jesus to save us and believe in our hearts the truth of Jesus Christ. We repent of our sins, always trying to resist temptation. Though we will not be perfect, we place our faith in Jesus that he can forgive us when we are weak and sin. But, we always try to not sin and we call on Jesus to help us resist sinning. Romans 10.13, “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved’.”

It is not enough to believe that God exists or a god exists. We cannot just think there is a god above. We must confess openly that we believe in the God, the only God, and HIs Son Jesus Christ who died and rose again to save us from the wages of sin. We have to have 100% faith in the truth of Jesus Christ and the truth the Bible says. We confess the truth of Christ and believe it fully in our lives. Romans 10.9-10, “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

When we recognize the truth that we are sinners, that all of mankind is not “good” or “better”, that we have chosen to ignore and disobey God, we understand we deserve the punishment for our sin which is death, physically and eternally. We can then know the truth that we can do nothing to save ourselves and without help, we are destined to spend eternity separated from God. We know God does love us and desires to help us. He sent Christ to die for us and save us our eternal punishment. Even though we sin, God still loves us and has saved us. We then make the choice to ask God for forgiveness of our sins. We confess with our mouths and our hearts the truth of Jesus, that he lived, died for our sins, and rose again to save us from the wages of sin. This means we have absolute faith in the truth of Jesus and the truth the Bible tells us regardless of what the world says. When we place our faith alone in Christ, we are saved from eternal death in Hell and given eternal life with God in Heaven.
